Stomach or Intestinal worms are parasites which are present primarily on the intestinal wall, a gastrointestinal tract that affects both adults and children, though they are more prevalent in children. There are different types of intestinal or stomach worms that affect people, but most harmful are roundworm, pinworm, whipworm, and tapeworm.

Stomach or Intestinal worms enter in the body through skin, nose, through ingestion of contaminated food or water and through transmitting agents like mosquitoes, sexual contact. They then breed in the digestive tract and cause a number of unpleasant symptoms. Other common causes include poor hygiene, weak immune system, exposure to areas known to have parasites and eating raw and undercooked meat, dirty fingernails, bare feet and HIV or AIDS.
